TAO Holds at $287 as REAX Rockets 2,432% Amid 128-Subnet Ecosystem

A week of sharp contrasts across Bittensor's subnet economy, with explosive gains for new entrant REAX, a resurgent SayGM, and lium.io cementing its lead in network emissions.

TAO News weekly Bittensor ecosystem roundup - this week's subnet movers and stats

Bittensor’s subnet economy continued to expand this week, with TAO trading at $287 and the total subnet-token market cap holding at $1.44B across 128 active subnets, according to TaoStats. Beneath that headline stability, however, the week produced some of the most dramatic individual moves seen in recent memory, alongside fresh subnet registrations and a reshuffling of volume leadership.

Biggest movers

The standout story of the week was REAX (SN92), which surged an extraordinary 2431.9% over seven days, catapulting its market cap to $1.9M and a rank of 96, a reminder of how quickly newly registered subnets can move on thin liquidity. Among more established names, SayGM (SN28) impressed with a 46.2% gain, lifting its market cap to $49.2M and holding rank 7, making it one of the larger subnets to post such a strong weekly performance. Quasar (SN24) added 42.7% to reach $11.5M (rank 29), while Green Compute (SN110) climbed 28.0% to $20.6M (rank 16) and Quantum Compute (SN48) rose 26.7% to $7.8M (rank 42).

On the downside, Attune (SN58) led the fallers with a 39.1% drop, leaving its market cap at $1.5M (rank 107). Carbon (SN116), one of this month’s new registrations, fell 25.6% to $1.7M (rank 103). UR (SN25) and Albedo (SN97) each slid 17.4%, to $8.1M (rank 39) and $7.0M (rank 46) respectively, while Ditto (SN118) rounded out the fallers with a 17.3% decline to $4.3M (rank 65).

New subnets

Four subnets have registered in the past 21 days per TaoStats. OnSale (SN86) joined most recently, on 15 October, with a market cap of $180K. Carbon (SN116) registered on 4 October at $1.7M, while REAX (SN92), this week’s biggest gainer, registered on 9 October at $1.9M. SN82, which has yet to set an on-chain identity, registered earliest of the four, on 26 September, and now carries a market cap of $2.7M.

Where the volume went

24-hour trading activity was led by Orion (SN27), which saw 30,037 TAO change hands, worth approximately $8.6M. OnSale (SN86), despite its small market cap and recent registration, posted strong volume of 16,894 TAO (about $4.8M), suggesting active early-stage trading interest. SayGM (SN28) continued its strong week with 15,480 TAO (about $4.4M) in volume, while Actual (SN95) recorded 14,109 TAO (about $4.0M). REAX (SN92) rounded out the top five with 12,540 TAO (about $3.6M), reflecting the intense interest around its 7-day price surge.

Emission leaders

On the emissions side, lium.io (SN51) retained its position at the top of the network, commanding 9.0% of total emissions. KubeTEE (SN90) followed with 7.5%, with Minos (SN107) close behind at 6.4%. Chutes (SN64) rounded out the leaders with a 5.4% share, underscoring the continued concentration of network rewards among a handful of established, compute-focused subnets.

Closing thoughts

This week’s data paints a picture of an ecosystem where established subnets like SayGM and the emission leaders provide relative stability, even as newer and smaller subnets such as REAX and OnSale generate outsized percentage moves and trading interest. With 128 subnets now active and TAO holding at $287, the breadth of activity across Bittensor’s subnet economy remains striking, even if volatility at the margins is pronounced.
