How we work
We work from primary sources: on-chain data from the Bittensor network and the TaoStats API, the subnet teams' own repositories and documentation, and the people running them. Where we learn of something from a press release, a Discord or another publication, we treat it as a lead and go back to the original before we write.
We do not republish press releases as articles, and we do not rewrite other publications' reporting. Where a claim rests on a filing, a dataset or an official announcement, we link to it.
Some of our reporting is produced with the assistance of AI tools. Every story is reviewed by a human editor before it is published. We publish under the name of the publication rather than under individual bylines.
Our approach
TAO News is a new title, launching in 2026. We are building a running record of the UK Bittensor network: which subnets are doing real work, what the emissions and stake actually show, who is running them, and how that changes week to week.
Our reporting is journalism about the Bittensor network, not investment advice. TAO and subnet tokens are volatile and unregulated. It is published for general information and is no substitute for advice tailored to your own circumstances.
We would rather publish fewer stories and get them right than chase every headline.
Corrections
If we have got something wrong, tell us at editor@taonews.ai. We will correct it, and the article will say that it has been corrected and when. Our editorial standards set out how we handle this.
